Not one model. But all the right ones

brandvju brings together all the recognised models and activates them at once. A brand is a system – only in context does the analysis make sense.

The structure of the analysis

15 sections. Five dimensions. One integrated diagnosis

01–04IdentityWho is the brand?
05–06ExpressionHow does it look and sound?
07–09PositioningWhat does it own in the market's mind?
10–12RelationWho does it speak to, and how?
13CoherenceDoes it all fit together?

No model can stand alone. It is the combination and synthesis that delivers the strategic diagnosis.

Model selection follows four criteria

01

Academic grounding

Published, peer-reviewed or well-documented in academic literature – not merely consultant practice.

02

Practical applicability

Produces concrete, actionable insights – not merely categorisations.

03

Complementarity

Together covers the full breadth of brand identity without undue overlap.

04

Market neutrality

Applies across B2B and B2C, industries and markets – not only in one context.

From analysis to action

Prioritisation of recommendations

Recommendations are sorted into three levels – not by when they can be solved, but by strategic consequence. The levels reflect the severity of the underlying weakness and the impact of addressing it.

Critical

Addresses weaknesses that directly undermine credibility, differentiation or commercial strength. These are the recommendations with the greatest strategic impact and most clearly measurable effect. Typically 1–3 recommendations per analysis.

Month 1–3

Important

High strategic value, but requires more preparation, resources or depends on something critical being in place first. Addresses significant development areas with clear impact on brand strength over time. Typically 4–8 recommendations.

Month 2–6

Consider

Development opportunities with positive impact, but lower priority now – either because they depend on Critical and Important being implemented, or because they require capacity that is not yet in place. Activated on an ongoing basis.

Month 6–12

Prioritisation is not static. When you implement a recommendation and run a partial analysis, the system updates its assessment – and the plan adjusts.

Professional honesty

What the analysis can do – and what requires more

Professional honesty is a core value at brandvju. Several analysis dimensions point to assessments that require external research to be fully verified:

Mental availability
Surveys and brand tracking in specific need situations.
Actual brand perception
Qualitative interviews and consumer surveys.
Internal culture and employer brand
Employee surveys and internal audit.
Interpretation of semiotic signals
Focus groups and A/B testing of communicative elements.
Positioning strength in the mind
Brand tracking and competitive positioning surveys.

brandvju is the professional foundation. Precise, honest and action-oriented.

Beyond the analysis

Competitor intelligence

brandvju can also analyse your competitors and translate their weaknesses into prioritised action recommendations for you. The analysis uses the same methodological foundation – but the perspective is reversed: instead of strengthening your own brand, we identify the open positions the competitor leaves, and what you can concretely do to occupy them.
