In brief

We have measured 351 Danish brands with the same method across 13 measured disciplines. The most common answer to almost every question is the same: the same colour, the same archetypes, the same values and the same words. Even so, almost all are lopsided. 90 percent deviate markedly from the field in at least one place, and this is where the difference is made, and where it is cheapest to shift.

The report brings together 19 insights on how Danish brands look, what they say about themselves, where they are strong and weak, and what the best do differently. It ends with seven lessons and a test you can run today.

For advisers

The report is built for you if you advise companies on brand, communication and strategy. Each insight can be used on its own, has its own n and its own method note, and can be cited with a source reference. The figures are aggregated: we never single out the measurements of named brands, and examples from the base are verbatim quotations without brand names.
